Unfulfilling Career
Not sure if you should leave your stable career for something more fulfilling? This message is for you.
For starters you seem like you’re entertaining the possibility of leaving your career, which is not something you need to worry about right now. Firs what you must do is identify what’s mising from it that’s making you feel like this.
Our calling is at the center of 4 things:
What we love to do
What we’re good at
What the world needs
What we can make money from
The Japanese call this our Ikigai.
Take a close look at the venn diagram I made for you, and map out where your career currently is.
What it sounds like the question becomes is “what is my calling?”
This is a common question.
I’m including a worksheet to help you begin to unearth this. A lot of people are closer to stepping into their true calling than they think. In fact, your current career likely in some way is equipping you to step into your calling.
In terms of your home life, this is likely because you are nearing the end of a phase of your life, which happens when we go through the spiritual transition of childbirth. You must understand that going through the ascension to motherhood completely changes us on a spiritual level, which means our current reality will begin to seem lackluster, stale, and outdated.
Rest assured, that the growth we go through on a spiritual level inevitably manifests into our physical life, vibrating us out of wherever we are now. This is the natural rhythm, of life. It is as natural as the leaves changing color in the fall, wilting, and giving way to new growth in the spring. It is the reason we don’t continue to try and wear clothing we’ve outgrown, as eventually it will be uncomfortable and out of alignment with where we are now.
Think about where you were a year ago. 2 years ago.
The only thing constant in this lifetime is change, so rest assured that feeling as if you’ve outgrown your current phase is because you are, and the phase you’re in is winding to a close.
It can be very difficult to wait for the vast interworkings of life events to line up in a way that we finally see them taking place in our own reality, but trust that it is happening for you and your family. In the meantime, get clear about what you truly desire out of life on a soul level, which as a career-focused person, sounds like it’s centered around living within your calling and setting it as the foundation for a joyful and prosperous family life. For you specifically, they are connected.
Take this time to identify what your calling looks like, because this will bring into focus the small steps you can take to begin to align your life with it.
How to Discover Your Calling
By FAR the #1 question I get asked is in regard to people’s true calling. So much so that I made an ebook about it a few years back and never did anything with it. Now that I’ve actually stepping fully into my calling, I decided to publish and help people feeling the same way I was.
Also, just for a little perspective, here’s what my journey to find and step into my calling looked like:
work in a corp for 2 years
quit abruptly to become a freelancer for 2 years
go full time with an agency for 2 years
quit to be a freelancer again
for full time with an agency again
quit abruptly to become a spiritual coach, launching us into financial ruin
taking a low level copywriting job to pay the bills
get fired
get sober
step fully into my calling instead of panic applying to jobs I didn’t want
I want to save you from steps 5-9 if i can, lol. So id you want to really dive deep into discovering your calling, here’s the ebook:
