This entry → crafting your message in a way that allows the people looking for you to find you - for great financial flow and business ease, plus a channeled message about why we’re in a “lull” and what to do in this time.
Hey! Mik here <3
Earlier this week, I channeled a message for spiritual entrepreneurs because a lot of us are feeling a “lull.”
If you didn’t catch it on Threads, here it is:
(BTW, don’t forget to follow me!)
I wanted to follow it up with something to help you lean into the “lull” that you may be experiencing now that’s forcing you to address whatever’s blocking your spiritual business growth, and something I see a lot of spiritual entrepreneurs struggle with, and that’s:
Crafting your message.
For starters, here’s how to tell if it’s time to revisit your message, or craft one for the first time:
You can’t explain what you do without it turning into a paragraph
You feel SUPER aligned with your social content, podcast convos, etc. but somewhere along the way people are getting lost before becoming clients
You get compliments and likes, but not inquiries or sales
People say “I love your work!” but don’t book or buy
You’re posting, emailing and showing up, but nothing connects into a path to buy
When it’s time to write copy on your website or sales pages or in emails, you draw a blank
Your message is essentially your one-line elevator pitch, and the reason it’s so important, is because it leaves absolutely NO bones about how you help people.
The people who are looking for you may not know they even need you until they fully understand what it is you do.
And if it’s unclear, or wordy, or clunky, or in an advanced spiritual language they may not understand yet, you’re gonna confuse them or invite doubt, or leave them with too many decisions – so their journey will stop before you get to share your magic and HELP them the way you know how!
So if your’e feeling a lull, now’s a great time to get back in touch with your message, make it clear, simple and SUPER aligned with the what, who, how, and why.
And that’s I’m about to show you how to do!
First, take a deep breath and get into the zone. Think about a client you’ve had success with (or, if you’re still in the early stages of building your business, think about what you LOVE to talk about, what you’re doing when you’re in flow, etc.)
What did they say you helped them do/how they felt? How was their life made better on the other side.
We’re gonna use that as an avenue to work backward, and define your “who, what, how & why” in a very short, succinct and clear way.
The Who:
The “who” should NOT focus too much on demographics, but more on their problem. “People who are in between major life transitions” is a direct and clear example. If you need a philosophy degree to understand who you help, the right people may not know that YOU are the one who can help them because you’re speaking more to your service and less to their journey.
Anyone who aligns with your message, is pleasant to interact with, and trusts you enough to say “TAKE MY MONEY!” is your who. Don’t edge out lovely people who need your gifts by niche-ing too far down.
The What:
What problem do you help these people solve?
Be direct and simple as if you’re telling it to someone in the very early stages of their spiritual journey - NOT like you’re telling someone as advanced in their craft as you.
The who: People who are in between major life transitions
The what: need help learning how to access their own intuition”
The Why:
These are your key service benefits, and will basically drive the sale home but only IF your “who” feels connected to them. That’s why they needs to be laid out in a clear and understandable manner.
The who: “People who are in between major life transitions”
The what: “who need helps learning how to access their own intuition”
The why: “For greater clarity, direction and alignment".”
Try and include at least 3 key benefits.
The How:
The how is your service options, and the final decision point in their journey, so it need to be short, quick and makes it as easy as possible for them to say “hell YES!”
Do NOT introduce a ton of decisions by having a BUNCH of service options. Remember, they likely have NO idea what they need yet and need guidance here, so let’s make it easy for them to choose something they align with absolutely no more than 1-3 tiered choices.
The choices should be small, bigger, biggest and outline exactly WHO each one is for in terms of how big or small The What is.
Also, the language in these service should DIRECT and explain what it is without getting poetic and nebulus.
“A 60-minute intensive workshop where you’ll learn how to connect with your intuition”
is significantly more likely to convert a potential client than
“A deeply grounding experience where together we’ll transcend the limitations of your logical mind using ancient technologies and contemporary understandings of the body, biofield, and being.”
Will #2 make sense to you as the TEACHER and HEALER? Of course!
To a student just starting out on a journey to lean into their inner guidance who has no idea what they need in order to do so? Absolutely not.
It’s confusing, it doesn’t explain WHAT they’re getting in terms of tangibility, and it doesn’t connect them to HOW the hell it’s gonna help them navigate their chaotic life in clear terms.
Put it all together now!
If you’ve done this exercise successfully, you should come out with a clear and direct who, what, how, & why that you align with, that’s understandable for average people seeking your gifts, and that you can work from with your copy, content, etc.
Your message: “I help people who are in-between major life transitions learn how to connect with their intuition for clarity, direction and alignment.”
If someone who needs this sees this, they’ll think “YES! I need this! Now how can you make this happen?”
“Oh, great! I can book a 60-minute video session with them where they’ll show me how to do just that!”
Your message is like a beacon that brings the people who need you to you. From there, all you have to do is tell them why you’re the one they need, how you’ll help and the one simple action they need to take to make it happen.
It isn’t a matter of if people need you - they do, and they’re searching for you right. Frickin’. NOW!
But they’ll never know that you’re the one they need if you don’t meet them where they’re at and guide them to your gifts in a clear way.
As always, I’m here to help if you need it <3
With warmth & gratitude,
XOXO
